New Datastore | cmi5 & SCORM 1.2 Export

PandaSuite Product Update April 2026

Hey Pandas 🐼,

Discover two big updates this month:

  • The former PandaSuite database has been completely rebuilt. It’s now called the Datastore: a new spreadsheet interface, new data types, references between collections… It’s a real step up in how you manage content in PandaSuite.
  • On the e-learning side, your interactive content can now be exported as cmi5 and SCORM 1.2, ready to be uploaded to any LMS.

Happy reading and happy creating,

The PandaSuite Team

The Datastore: PandaSuite’s Database, Rebuilt

The PandaSuite Datastore
The PandaSuite Datastore

PandaSuite’s internal database has a new name and a new face. The Datastore is both a variable manager for your app’s local data and a lightweight CMS for your content collections.

  • A real spreadsheet interface: your data is displayed in a clean grid with image thumbnails, visible colors, and readable dates. A toggle switches to a JSON view with syntax highlighting.
  • JSON import/export, filters, sorting, and bulk actions: import and export your data in one click, filter and sort your entries, apply actions to multiple rows at once, and undo with a single shortcut.
  • References between collections: create links between two collections (e.g. Products ↔ Categories) by visually selecting the entries to associate. Multi-references work too.
  • PandaSuite-native data types: images with preview, GPS coordinates for the Map component, hex colors, screen references, audio/video/zip files — every value is directly usable in your app, no conversion needed.

If you were already using the PandaSuite database, all your data is intact. Nothing to migrate, nothing to reconfigure.

PandaSuite Now Exports to cmi5 and SCORM 1.2

Publishing content to an LMS? PandaSuite now supports two new export standards:

  • cmi5: the modern e-learning standard, based on xAPI. The ZIP export automatically generates the cmi5 manifest, ready to be uploaded to your training platform.
  • SCORM 1.2: for LMSs that only accept this format, the export generates the imsmanifest.xml file, compatible with SCORM 1.2 — the most widely supported standard.

In both cases, everything happens from the export interface, no technical setup required.
